Bengaluru, Dec 23, 2014

Even as several State governments are cracking down on online cab aggregators, a new company has launched a similar service in Bengaluru.

Launched by Helios Travel Solutions, Magic Cabs service has its own fleet of taxis and can be accessed through a combination of voice calls, online reservations and mobile application, which will initially be available on Android phones.

The company’s online system, currently operational in Bangalore, will extend its footprint to more than 30 cities across India within two to three months. B Rajiv, CEO, Helios Travel Solutions, said Magic Cabs’ fully automated high-end reservation and logistics management systems ensure seamless service delivery even as customers enjoy reliable rides in clean, well-maintained cars driven by experienced chauffeurs. The cabs are equipped with a swipe machine for card payments.

The company added it plans to raise Rs.40 crore to strengthen its national presence with a coverage of 150 locations to emerge as a Rs.600-crore company within five years. Business Line
